Unlocking the fretboard can be a really difficult thing. It took me 16 years to even begin to understand how everything works. But this was because no one told me exactly what I needed to know. 

I feel like guitar teachers give you just a bit every time so you keep going back to them. But today I’m going to try to explain the best I can how to unlock the fretboard in your mind, with a few simple steps.
